Robert Hance, age 89 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Frank Kirby officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are James McDougal and Bobby Halson.
Mr. Hance was born September 6, 1928 to the late James Mordacai Hance and Mandy Myrtle Newberry Hance. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Betty Dickens Hance; brother, Harrison Hance; and sister, Hazel Roberson. He is survived by sister, Cornell Matthews of Carthage; and nieces Evelyn Rogers of Alabama and Joyce Webb (Morton) of Ohio. Mr. Hance retired from Globe in Hendersonville and served our country in the United States Army. Special thanks to Annette Lowe, who was Mr. Hance’s caregiver for 5 years.
