Obituary of Carol Harris Thomas

THOMAS, Carol Harris, age 67 of Mt. Juliet passed away September 30, 2012. Mrs. Thomas graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1962. She was very active in the community, the historical society and church. She was a History teacher at Mt. Juliet High School. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by parents, Bryan and Carrie Harris; and daughter, Tara Kay Thomas. She is survived by husband of 46 years, Paul Thomas; son, Bryan Thomas; sister, Kay Smith; brother, Kenneth Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice and Quality Care. Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be Tuesday, October 2nd at 10:30 am at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Bill Speight officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Geric Smith, Kendall Smith, George Thomas, Rufus Page, Ralph Summers, Garnett Forkum, Kevin Reeves and Randy Harris serving as pallbeares. Honorary pallbearers are Carolyn Eakes, Sharon Reeves, Jimmy Tate, Doug Stilts, Gage Smith, Madeleine Smith, and Kennedy Smith. Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 1st from 2-8 pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday, October 2nd.
