Obituary of Robert Carl Murphy

Robert Murphy, age 64 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday August 29, 2015. Funeral Service will be Thursday September 3rd from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Dr. Terry Wilkerson officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday September 2nd from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday September 3rd from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mr. Murphy was born September 28, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Carl Letcher Murphy, Jr and Jean Oden Murphy. He is survived by wife of 35 years, Merna Murphy of Gallatin; son, Miles Black (Jennifer) of Hendersonville; sisters, Linda Sharp of Rocky Mount, NC, and Cindy Chenoweth of Rocky Mount, NC; and one grandchild, Aaron Black.
