Obituary of Lewis R. Jones

Lewis R. Jones, age 98 of Gallatin passed away Friday December 18, 2015. Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Pastor Windell Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday December 20th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday December 22nd from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mr. Jones was born June 1, 1917 in Sumner County to the late Manuel Jones and Sherdan Ramsey Jones. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 67 years, Eunice Jones. He is survived by sons, Larry W. Jones (Sandra) of Gallatin, Randy Jones (Barbara) of Gallatin, and Ron Jones (Anne) of Gallatin; sister, Nadine Jones of Hendersonville; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Jones was a member of the United States Army and served in WWII for four years. He was co-owner of Ramsey Cabinet Shop until he retired in 1976.
