Obituary of Diana G. Zimmer

Diana G. (Pfeiffer) Zimmer, 63, passed away peacefully at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, TN on Sunday January 17, 2016, with family members at her side. Diana was born in Red Jacket, WV on December 30, 1952. She was raised in Morral, Ohio by parents, Michael J. Pfeiffer, Jr. (Deceased) and Bernetta "Nettie" (Meadows) Pfeiffer. Diana was self-employed, owning her own business, providing home health care. Her passions in life include: taking care of others; spending time with her family (including four children, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren); and serving God. She was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin, TN. Diana is survived by her mother, Nettie Pfeiffer of Marion, Ohio; husband, Richard Zimmer of Gallatin, TN; four daughters, Michaell Hitselberger of Carthage, TN. , Tammy (Matt) Ehler of Graytown, Ohio, Elizabeth Hitselberger of Gallatin, TN and Olivia Zimmer of Gallatin, TN; two sisters, Lahoma (Jim) Buckley of Linwood, MI, and Linda (Mark Potteiger) Pfeiffer of Marion, Ohio; four brothers, Wendell "Bear" (Tammy Magoto) Pfeiffer of Richwood, Ohio, Bo (Carol) Pfeiffer of Carey, Ohio, Joe (Cheryl) Pfeiffer of Marion, Ohio, and Tom (Peggy) Pfeiffer of Morral, Ohio; mother-in-law, Jane Zimmer of Moneta, VA; brother-in-law, James Zimmer (Sue) of Cassopolis, MI; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Zimmer Lowe (Doug) of Moneta, VA and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Family Heritage Funeral Home, Gallatin, TN on Monday, January 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin, TN on Tuesday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. with Con-Celebrants, Father Austin Gilstrap and Father Terry McGowan. Memorial donations may be made to St. Martha's Guild, Legion of Mary, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, or Sumner County Food Bank.
