Obituary of Viverine "Vi" Deason

DEASON, Viverine "Vi", age 94 of Antioch passed away April 2, 2016. She worked 40 years as a hairdresser in Green Hills. Vi loved fishing, spending time with her family and friends, and attending church. Mrs. Deason was preceded in death by parents, Jessie and Tessie Smith; husband, Drane Deason, Jr.; and sisters, Idell Arnold and Lavinia Brooks. She is survived by children, D. D. (Willette) Deason, III and Marjorie (Bob) Hafner; sister, Juanita Edwards; grandchildren, Shane Hafner, Vonda (Keith) Hafner Curley, Wendy (Andrew) Wittenberg and Dana Gough; and great-grandchild, Stephen Blake Curley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6th at 11 am at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Shane Hafner, Keith Curley, Dwight Brooks, Gary Brooks, Andrew Wittenberg, Roger Arnold, David Duvall and Art Longo serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, April 5th from 12-2 pm and 4-8 pm and on Wednesday, April 6th from 10 am until time of service. The family extends a special thank you to Alive Hospice.
