Obituary of Anna Mai Thompson

Anna Mai Thompson, age 96 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Peace officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery with Joe Stone, Jr., Joe Stone, Chuck Proffitt, Shane Woodard, Anthony Woodard and Howard Blanton serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, May 9th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 10th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Thompson was born November 22, 1919 in Sumner County, TN, daughter of the late John Ruben and Kate Graves Calvert. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar H. Thompson; daughter, Mary Ruth Thompson, brother, John L. Calvert; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Gladys and William Lee. She is survived by daughters, Sue Stone (Joe) and Charlotte Blanton (Howard) all of Gallatin; grandchildren, Debbie Proffitt (Chuck) and Joe Stone, Jr. (Sonya); great grandchildren, Jennifer Woodard (Shane), Dani Gilbert and Anna Larson Stone; great-great grandchildren, Mason Duke, Jonathon Woodard and Anthony Woodard.
