Obituary of Hollis Dean Troutt, Jr.

Hollis Dean Troutt, Jr., age 68 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday May 10, 2016. Funeral Service will be Friday May 13th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Marty Meador and Bro. Matthew Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Gallatin Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday May 12th from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday May 13th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Hollis was born March 16, 1948 in Sumner County to the late Hollis Dean Troutt, Sr. and Elizabeth Spears Troutt Sadler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 48 years, Cathie Merritt Troutt; step-father, Gene Sadler; and brother, James Bimbo Troutt. He is survived by children, Hollis Lee Troutt (Sharon) of Gallatin, Amy Kirby (Frank) of Springfield, and Charles Richard Troutt (Sandra) of Murfreesboro; grand daughter/daughter, Rachel Troutt; grandson/son, Richard Troutt; grandson, Jonathan “Roo” Troutt; brothers, Hubert Troutt (Becky) of Gallatin, Terry Troutt (Debbie) of Bethpage, and Ricky Troutt (Shelia) of Westmoreland; sisters, Betty Chance (Van) of Lakeland, FL, and Linda Wix (Danny) of Lafayette.
