Obituary of Hazel Louise Overstreet

Hazel Louise Overstreet, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday May 15, 2016. Funeral Service will be Thursday May 19th at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Bro. Stacy Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Raymond Overstreet, Brian Hunter, Heath Reynolds, Brad Browning, Carroll Overstreet, and David Howard serving as pallbearers. Ernest Glasgow will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be Wednesday May 18th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Overstreet was born February 24, 1933 in Huntsville, AL, to the late Thurman Hayes Glasgow and Bessie Payne Glasgow. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Edwin Overstreet; brothers, Cecil Glasgow, and Thurman Glasgow; and sisters, Elsie Cobb, Elizabeth McCoy, Helen Perry, and Ruth Thomas. She is survived by son, Raymond Overstreet (Jen) of Portland; and granddaughters, Lauren Overstreet, Ashley Overstreet, Abigail Overstreet, and Lyla Beth Overstreet.
