Obituary of Rodney Maurice Gray

Rodney Maurice Gray, age 65, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away in his home on Wednesday June 8, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday June 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday June 10th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday June 11th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Sergeant Gray served with honor in the U.S. Army during which time he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Expert Shooter (Rifle M-16), and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Sergeant Gray retired after 37 1/2 years with CSX railroad. Sergeant Gray was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie P. McBride and Earl D. Gray. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia “Patti” Gray; daughters and spouses, Jennifer (Tony) Miller of Alabama and Brandi (Ryan) Leath of Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Lopez, Joseph Lopez, Braeden Pennington, and Lily Jo Leath; 3 great grandchildren, Raegan, Bradley, and Levi; siblings and spouses, Belinda (Terry) Galbreath of White House, TN, James R. (Cheryl) Gray of Hopkinsville, KY, Deborah (John) Schell of Fort Wayne, IN, and George M. (Judy) Riddle of Gallatin, TN; and numerous nephews, nieces, and many friends.
