Obituary of Charles B. Scruggs

Charles B. Scruggs, age 76 of Bethpage, passed away Monday June 13, 2016. Funeral Service will be Friday June 17th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday June 16th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday June 17th 12:00 noon until time of service. Mr. Scruggs was born September 20, 1939 in Sumner County to the late Lydle Scruggs and Gaynell Anderson Scruggs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Ann Foster; brother, James Scruggs; and sisters, Martha Campbell and Fannie Jane Keen. He is survived by wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Scruggs of Bethpage; son, Scottie Lee Scruggs of Westmoreland; brothers, Thomas Scruggs of Portland, Barnna Scruggs of Gallatin, and Rufus Scruggs of Westmoreland; sisters, Mary Lou Keen of Gallatin, and Sara Bush of Bethpage; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Scruggs, Amanda Knowles, Samantha Foster, and Jennifer Pinson; and 8 great grandchildren.
