Obituary of Florencie Fuqua

Florencie "Tonsie" Fuqua, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday June 22, 2016. Funeral Service will be Friday June 24th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Martino, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday June 23rd from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday June 24th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Fuqua was born November 15, 1929 in Sumner County to the late Rufus Coatfield Withers and Elizabeth Gorham Withers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Johnny Marvin Fuqua; sons, Randall Lee Fuqua, and Anthony Quinn Fuqua; brothers, Robert Withers, and Jake Wither; sisters, Margaret Jones, Allene Wade, and Ruth Withers; and 1 grandchild. She is survived by son, Larry Fuqua (Teresa) of Gallatin; daughter, Deborah Froelich (Louis) of brothers, Earl Withers of Portland, Sammy Withers of Gallatin, Dee Dee Withers (Sue) of Hendersonville, and Benny Withers (Diane) of Castalian Springs; sisters, Irene Moss of Gallatin, Florene Gregory of Gallatin, Jenny Fuqua of Cottontown, Nell Russell of Gallatin, Marilyn Gregory of Gallatin, Betty Fuqua of Oak Grove, and Barbara Hobdy (Jerry) of Portland; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
