Obituary of Lawrence Arthur Boroviak

Boroviak, Lawrence “Larry”, age 80 of Mt. Juliet, passed from this life, July 18, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Larry was a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the US Air Force, received a BS degree at Florida State University and a Doctorate of Education at UT Knoxville. He was a professor at UT Knoxville and Maryville College, and retired from the State of Tennessee as a training consultant. He was an avid sailor, member and past Commodore of Harbor Island Yacht Club. He also enjoyed golf, snow skiing, and camping. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Florian and Mary; and twin sisters, Barbara and Eileen. Survived by wife of 22 years, Denise Mathis Boroviak; nephews, Richie (Manuela), Ray (Marge), and Ronnie; grand nieces and nephews, Larissa, Nicole, Kristen, Daniel, Brandon, and Gerald; and many dear friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at Cathedral of the Incarnation on Wednesday, July 27 at 10am, 2100 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, July 26 from 5pm-9pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.
