Obituary of James P. Fisher

James P. Fisher, age 76 of Gallatin, passed away Friday August 12, 2016. Funeral Service will be Sunday August 14th at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Jeff Samples and Fred Fisher, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Gallatin Cemetery, with Robert Whited, David Bandy, Dustin Bandy, Derrick Bandy, Jimmy West, and Sam Kirby serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday August 13th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Sunday August 14th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Fisher was born January 5, 1940 in Nashville, to the late Fred Fisher and Mattie Lillian Reed Fisher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Nadine Smith. He is survived by wife, Peggy Fisher of Smyrna; children, Vicky Bly of Nashville, Rhonda Weaver (Blair) of LaVergne, Kim Taylor of Smyrna, Steve Fisher (Bobbie) of Gallatin, and Tyler Fisher (Raychel) of Gallatin; brothers, Buck Fisher (Dot) of Nashville and Fred Fisher (Betty) of Rockingham, NC; sisters, Ruth Mooneyham of Antioch and Rebecca Sample of Memphis; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Fisher was the President of the D.E.I., he was State Electrical Inspector for 27 years. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
