Obituary of William David Johnson, Sr.

JOHNSON, Sr., William David, age 72 of Mt. Juliet passed away September 3, 2016. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by parents, James Frank and Virgie Johnson; and brothers, Herbert Johnson, Allen Johnson and Wayne Johnson. He was survived by wife of 51 years, Shirley Johnson; sons, David (Kim) Johnson, Jr. and Matt (April) Johnson; daughters, Julie Johnson and Janet (Mark) Medlin; grandchildren, Gabrielle Pare, Lauren Medlin, Leigha Medlin, Kynlee Johnson and William "Liam" Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 8th at 1pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Lee Mangrum officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Pat Smith, Bill Haines, Dennis Johnson, Andy Douglas, Mark Medlin, Mike Bradford, Patrick Fegan and Randy Vickers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: W. L. Simpkins, Jeff Johnson, James Green, Tim Benedix and Jay Robinson. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, September 7th from 4-8 pm and Thursday, September 8th from 11 am until time of service.
