Obituary of Geneva M. Pierce

Geneva M. Pierce, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday September 28, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday October 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Senator Ferrell Haile officiating. Interment will be at Old Brush Cemetery, with Chris Glover, Benjamin Hill, Brandon Hill, Seth Kern, Charlie Glover, and Ronnie Tennant serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday September 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday October 1st from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mrs. Pierce was born April 29, 1926 in Lawrenceburg, to the late Thomas Monroe McGuire and Bertha Bates McGuire. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Charles Pierce; brothers, Rayburn McGuire and William McGuire; and sisters, Dorothy Cheatwood and Patricia West. She is survived by son Michael Pierce (Jayme) of Castalian Springs; daughter, Sherrie Estes (Mark) of Gallatin; brothers, Paul McGuire of Lawrenceburg and Larry McGuire of Washington, IL.; sisters, Ava Austin of Washington, IL., Opal Hart of Fort Worth, TX., and Linda Bunn of Washington, IL.; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Glover (Chris), Michelle McCloskey (Bryan), Kristen Kern (Seth), Benjamin Hill (Cassandra), and Brandon Hill (Kayla); and 9 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Glover, Allison Glover, Maya McCloskey, Jase McCloskey, Scout McCloskey, Caroline Kern, Leila Page, Parker Hill, and Hadleigh Hill.
