Obituary of Robert A. Jones

MR. ROBERT A. JONES, better known as "Bo"- age 56 of Lafayette, passed away late Sunday night, July 31, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral Services for Bo Jones were conducted Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Effler and Reverend Mike Carson officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were; Larry Burrow, Roger Morgan, Billy Michael Jones, Aaron Jones, and Jason Mahan. Active Pallbearers were; Clint Cothron, Corey Cothron, Dusty Stubblefield, Cal Jones, Hayden Roark, Breck Patterson, Jay Moore. Interment followed in the Hayesville Cemetery. Robert Anthony Jones was born on October 20, 1954 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Billie Joe Jones and Alma Brown Bandy Jones. On February 15, 1974, Robert married his sweetheart the former Brenda Kay Morgan. They have shared thirty-seven years together and raised four children. Robert was a drafter and worked for Kirby Building Systems until he retired due to health problems in 1994. Building model airplanes was one of Robert's biggest hobbies. Robert enjoyed building and especially flying his planes for his family and friends. Sometimes it might not go like planned and one would crash. Robert would just smile and say "let's go get more parts". He enjoyed going fishing or sitting around home drawing and doodling on paper and watching NASCAR on T.V. Spending time at Brenda's business, Terrific Tees, was something he loved doing. He was able to visit with old friends and make new ones, there. Robert was a family man, who loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and family. He was a member of Lafayette Church of God. Robert leaves wonderful memories behind for his family and friends. He is survived by; Wife, Brenda Jones of Lafayette, TN, Sons and Daughter-in-law, Bill F. (Tracy) Jones of Lebanon, TN, Michael Jones, and Aaron Jones both of Lafayette, TN, Daughter and Son-in-law, Michelle (Jason) Mahan of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Brady, Anderson, Mackenzie, and Emma Jones, and Garrett Mahan, Sister and Brother-in-law, Rita (Steve) Wilson of Lebanon, TN, Brother and Sister-in-law, Charlie (Dana) Jones of Lafayette, TN, Like a mama, Joyce Jones Shoulders of Lafayette, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews.
