Obituary of Jimmie Dudney McCarter

JIMMIE DUDNEY MCCARTER - age 61 of Whitleyville, Tennessee passed away Friday evening, August 5, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services for Jimmie Dudney McCarter were conducted Sunday, August 7, at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with E.C. Meadows and Jack Price officiating. Cremation followed the service. Jimmie Dudney McCarter was born on October 6, 1949 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late James Carson and Edna Maurell Davis McCarter. He departed this life August 5, 2011 at the age of 61 years. On March 11, 1969, Jimmie married the love of his life, Janice Diane Price, sharing forty-two years together and raising a son. Jimmie was preceded in death by; Father, James Carson McCarter, Sister, Pamela Kaye McCarter, Father-in-law, Hosey Price, Mother-in-law, Exie McCormick Price, and 3 Nephews. Jimmie was a Truck Driver by occupation but his heart was always on the farm. Jimmy loved being outdoors. He enjoyed working with his horses and feeding the chickens and cows. He raised his own hay and corn on the farm to feed his livestock. He also loved his dogs, and looking at the dogs, it was obvious. Jimmie was an excellent mechanic as well. Being a truck driver, he had no choice but to become a good mechanic. Most important to Jimmie was his family. He loved his wife and son dearly and if you saw one of them, the other two were close behind. He had a love for God, and he enjoyed studying the Bible. Jimmie leaves great memories behind for his family and friends. He is survived by; Wife, Janice McCarter, Son, Joshua Drew McCarter both of Clay County, TN, Mother, Edna McCarter of Lafayette, TN, Brothers, Howard and wife Carol McCarter of the Rocky Mound Community, Mark and wife Betty McCarter, Sisters, Ruth and husband Jimmy Spivey of Gamaliel, KY, Pat and husband Ralph Cassetty of the Russell Hill Community, Sharon and husband Jerry Morgan, Shelta and Gary Shrum, Renita Marsh, Ladora and husband Tommy Carter all of Lafayette, TN Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.
