Obituary of Joel David East

JOEL "DAVID" EAST, better known as David - age 46 of Gallatin and formerly of Lafayette, passed away early on May 23, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Joel "David" East will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Gammon officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. David was born on April 22, 1965 in Wilson County, Tennessee to Joel Larry East and Barbara Jean Jenkins East Cinciripini. He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Renford and Minnie Lee Jenkins, and Joel and Pauline East. On October 16, 1998, he married the former Cheryl Louise Baker. They shared the last twelve years together. David loved his family and leaves behind; his wife, one son and two step-children. David had worked for John Hawkins Concrete Construction for the last fifteen years. Being outdoors was what David loved, whether he was fishing or hunting deer and turkey. David was U.T. Big Orange to the chore. He also enjoyed sitting back watching NASCAR; he was a fan of Earnhardt, Sr. and Kyle Busch. He was saved in September of 2010 at home and is now spending Eternity in Heaven. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by; Wife, Cheryl East of Gallatin, TN, Son, Joel Scott (Amber) East of Lafayette, TN, Step-son, Shawn Reed of Chattanooga, TN, Step-daughter, Denise Weaver of Portland, TN, Mother, Barbara and (Mark "Pops") Cinciripini of St. Louis, Missouri, Father, Larry (Janice) East of Lafayette, TN, Brother, Jason (Sheneda) East of Lafayette, TN, Step-grandchildren, Kyle, Drake, and Aidan Feebus of Portland, TN, Aunts and Uncles, Barbara (Brother Jerry) Gammon of Lafayette, TN, Billie (John) Evans of White House, TN, also survives.
