Obituary of Vickie Cox

Vickie Cox, age 59 of Hartsville, passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday November 26th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Gallatin Cemetery, with A.J. Oster, Caleb Henry, David Burton, John Patterson, Travis Patterson, Wayne Patterson, and Jason Raines serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday November 25th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday November 26th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Vickie was born July 10, 1957 in Sumner County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Cox; mother, Betty Diviney; and father, Harold Gillihan. She is survived by son, John “Jay” Patterson, Jr. (Jessica) of Castalian Springs; daughters, Sara Elaine Patterson of Alexandria and Kristy Henry of Castalian Springs; brothers, Harold “Sunshine” Gillihan and Jason Raines; sisters, Rita Poindexter (Charles), Tina Stone (Ricky), and Betty “Princess” George; 10 grandchildren, Racheal Patterson, John Patterson III, Nathan Patterson, David Burton, Paige Burton, Nelissa Dowell, Dalton Bain, Caleb Henry, Anthony Oster, and Chloe Petty; and 2 great grandchildren, Chandler Burton and Jasmine Burton.
