Obituary of David Wharton

Samuel David Wharton, age 83, went to his heavenly reward on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents, Dave & Berta Wharton; sisters, Jo Marie Gordon and Edith Jolly; brother, Donald Wharton. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Roma Wharton; sons Michael (Lesa), Paul (Lainie) and Andrew (Julie) Wharton; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. David loved His Lord and everyone that he met. He dedicated his life to investing in the lives of others here and abroad, through building and constructing schools, clinics, and churches in remote areas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Assembly, David Wharton memorial, for the purpose of building a church in a remote area of South America. A private burial will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery and a public memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1st at 2 pm, at Life Assembly, 555 Pleasant Grove Road, Mt. Juliet, TN.
