Obituary of Roy Clinton Allen, Jr.

ALLEN, Jr., Roy Clinton, age 72 of Lebanon passed away March 1, 2017. Mr. Allen served in the US Air Force for 4 years and was stationed in Italy. He also worked for AT&T for 30 years. He was an avid storyteller and golfer. In addition, he enjoyed boating and horses, particularly Appaloosas. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by parents, Roy & Annie Allen, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Betty Griffin Allen; daughters, Lisa Lasater and Michelle (Keith) Piper; sons, Ricky W. Allen and Gregg (Jada) Allen; brother, Rick (Debbie) Allen; grandchildren, Gabrielle Lasater, Kendall Lasater, Maddie Piper, Mitchell Piper, Malone Piper, Madison Allen, Brandi Allen and Bailey Allen; and uncle, Allen (Peggy) Hide. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4th at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Keith Piper, Doug Lasater, David Hide, Gregg Allen, J. D. Johnson and Brandon Saunders serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Bobby & Debbie Caldwell, Bobby Fly, Joe & Ann Russell and Steve Cook.
