Obituary of Karen Lowe Binkley

Karen Lowe Binkley, age 70 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, after a courageous fight with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mrs. Binkley is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Pilar Whitaker; brother, Douglas Pilar Whitaker, Jr.; and stepson, Bo Myers. She is survived by husband, Ricky Binkley of Gallatin; mother, Oley Whitaker of Hendersonville; stepdaughter, Sheri Stanfill (Billy) of Greenville, SC; sisters, Leslie Miller (Jay) of Old Hickory and Jodye Morton of Ashland City; step grandchildren, Nicole Stanfill and Brooke Stanfill; best friends, Sharon and Harry McFarlin; nephews, Adam Townes, Jacob Townes; nieces, Melissa Templeton and Sara Adams; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and all her girls. Mrs. Binkley retired from Bell South in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any humane shelter or the elephant sanctuary in Humboldt.
