Obituary of Frances Black

Frances Black, age 69 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017. Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 6th at 6:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Stephen Russell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 6th from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Black was born January 6, 1948 in Gallatin, to the late George C. Durham and Frances Dodds Durham. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Teddy Black. She is survived by sons, Christopher Black of Alburn, KY and Josh Black (Lindsey) of Bethpage; sister, Jeanne Benjamin (Sam) of Maine; and 2 grandchildren, Ruby Black and Alex Black. Mrs. Black was a kindergarten teacher at Gallatin Church of Christ for several years and retired from the Gallatin Public Library after 28 years of service.
