Obituary of Reverend Felix Snell

Reverend Felix Snell, age 92 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 13th at First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Carlton Thaxton, Dr. Ted Hill, Rev. James Johnson, and Mr. Bob Snell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home, and Thursday, April 13th at First United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Chad McKenzie, Josh McKenzie, Jeremy Branch, Peyton Branch, Nathan Snell, and Franklin McKenzie serving as pallbearers. Reverend Snell was born October 15, 1924 in Rutherford County, to the late Felix Lawrence Snell and Lorena Emily Clark Snell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Lorraine Faulkner Snell; grandson, Michael Shane McKenzie; and brothers, Fred Clark Snell, Billy Woods Snell, and James Curtis Snell. He is survived by sons, Michael Snell (Kim) of Murfreesboro and Jody Snell (Diane) of Nashville; daughters, Beverly McKenzie (David) of Gallatin and Denise Branch (Michael) of Hendersonville; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Reverend Snell served his country in WWII in Iwo Jima. He served as a Minister in the United Methodist Church Middle Tennessee Conference for 60 years.
