Obituary of Dewey Moore

Dewey Gene Moore, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017.  Mr. Moore was born July 31, 1934 in Clay County, TN son of the late Lee Ander Moore and Ara Avo Willis Moore.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Gregory and Brother Kevin Harrison officiating.  Interment will follow in Dixon Springs Cemetery with Justin Tucker, Chris Tucker, Josh Moore, Larry Moore, Gerry Dickson and Brandon Reecer serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Monday, May 1st from 12:00 noon-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 2nd from 12:00 noon until time of service.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Lura Pansy Young, Dovie Irene Ray, Woodrow Wilson Moore, Marion Franklin Moore, Stanley Moore, Leonard Moore, Lerin Moore, Virgle Moore, Beuford Moore and Earl Moore.  He is survived by son, Randy G. “Moon Pie” Moore (Sindy) of Gallatin; daughter, Penny V. Tucker (Chuck) of Gallatin; brother, Willie Moore (Margie) of Bethpage; sister, Iona Carman of Hartsville; grandchildren, Justin Tucker (Mandi), Chris Tucker (Kara Best) and Josh Moore (Carly Howard); great grandchildren, Ethan Blake Tucker, Josie Tucker, Macie Grace Moore and Bella Slate.  Mr. Moore was a tire builder at Pirelli  Armstrong for 33 years, worked as Auxiliary Officer for City of Gallatin and was a constable for Sumner County.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
