Obituary of Vercie Frances Cook
Ms. Vercie Frances Cook, age 95, of Lake City, Illinois, passed away at 1:10 AM on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at her son’s residence in Arizona. She was born on May 23, 1922, in Rural Lafayette, Tennessee. Four of her six children survive her with one daughter and one son preceding her in death, as well as her parents, husband, J.P. Cook, four sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services for Ms. Vercie Cook are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 3 PM, from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Underwood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 2 PM until service time at 3 PM.
