Survived by wife, Rosie Simmons Potts; children, Edward Eugene Potts of Lebanon, TN; Kelly Potts of Gordonsville, TN; Robert Potts of Lafayette, TN; siblings, Elton (Linda) Potts of Castalian Springs, TN; Paul (Sherry) Potts of Lebanon, TN; Roger (Connie) Potts of Murfreesboro, TN; Tommy Potts of Norene, TN; Steve (Patrice) Potts of Murfreessburo, TN; Becky Potts Sloan of Carthage, TN; Sandra Potts (Reggie) Humes of Lebanon, TN; Kathy Potts (Ed) Harris of Crossville, TN; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Hamblen Cemetery in Mt. Juliet, TN. 4515 Beckwith Rd, Gateway East, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 (Behind Fed Ex).
