Obituary of Opal M. Lowe

Opal M. Lowe, was born on December 5, 1927. She went to be with the Lord on October 24th, 2017 at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by parents, Dillard and Meda Maynard; husband, Charles E. Lowe; grandsons, Michael Lowe Riggins and David B. Lowe. She is survived by children, Charles H. (Teresa) Lowe, Carolyn L. Brawner, and Johnny (Vicki) Lowe; grandchildren, Chris Clark, Matt Lowe, Travis Clark, Charlie Riggins, Duane Lowe, and Marcie Dowdy; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Claude (Roberta) Maynard; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Opal was a member of The Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. She was retired from Dupont. She was an avid golfer and tennis player. She enjoyed dancing, clogging, bluegrass music, motorcycle riding, and was a terrific Bridge player.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Elmcroft Assisted Living in Lebanon for their love and care of their mother.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at 1p.m. from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with Bro. Pat Hackney officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, October 26th from 10 a.m. until service time.
