Obituary of Glenn "Corky" Harold Hardcastle

Glenn “Corky” Harold Hardcastle, age 84 of Portland, met his Lord and Savior Thursday, October 26, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Sunday, October 29th at Beacon Baptist Church, 4040 Marydale Drive, Nashville, TN 37207 at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Dominic Cardamone officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in Westmoreland, with Chad Cline, Matt Cline, Spencer Cline, Gabe Cline, Tate Groves, Ryan Groves, and Robby Carman serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Hayes Cline and Noah Carman.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 28th at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue) from 11:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Sunday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Hardcastle was born August 6, 1933 in Jackson County, TN to the late Hooper Hardcastle and Jettie Sircy Hardcastle.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Alton Hardcastle; and sister, Peggy Sircy.  He is survived by daughter, Glenda Hardcastle Tankersley (David) of Portland; sons, Jimmy Cline (Linda) of Portland and Timothy Cline of Portland; brothers, Billy Hardcastle (Betty Jo) of Greenbrier, Ralph Hardcastle of Hendersonville, and Jerry Hardcastle (Elaine) of Hendersonville; sisters, Annette Randolph (Randy) and Thelma Fey (Jerry) of Hendersonville; 8 grandchildren, Chad Cline (Amanda), Mandy Cline Groves (Ryan), Matthew Cline (Ali), Courtney Dillard, Carrington Cline, Spencer Cline, Scarlett Tankersley, and Keely Tankersley; and 7 great grandchildren, Abbi Groves, Tate Groves, Gabe Cline, Hannah Cline, Calli Cline, Hayes Cline, and Zadie Ann Cline.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highpoint Hospice, 300 Steam Plant Road, Ste. 220, Gallatin, TN 37066.
