Obituary of Clarence G. Rose

Clarence G. Rose, age 92 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Monday, January 22nd at Gallatin First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor David Anderson, Dr. Travis Fleming, and Rev. Dan Ruffin officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 21st at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue) from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Monday, January 22nd at Gallatin First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  In addition, there will be a Funeral Service Tuesday, January 23rd at the Church of God of Prophecy (HWY 57 East, Michie, TN  38357) at 1:00 p.m.   Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23rd at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, with Military Honors.

Mr. Rose was born July 26, 1925 in Tipton County, TN to the late Curtis Rose and Isabelle Fleming Rose.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Doris Pryce; and brothers, Uzell Rose, Carl Rose, Jerry Rose, and Wayne Rose.  He is survived by wife of 20 years, Chloe Baker Rose of Gallatin; sons, Dale Rose of Henderson, TN and Chris Rose (Cathy) of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Angela Govan (Henry) of Gallatin; brother, Leon Rose of Yorktown, VA; sister, Shirley Sloper of Cape Coral, FL; 7 grandchildren, Christie Clenney, Jennifer Rose, Brian Rose, Jeremy Rose, Jamie Rose, Matthew Govan, and Benjamin Govan; and 10 great grandchildren.  Mr. Rose served our country as a pilot in the United States Navy during World War II.  He retired in 1982 from RCA Corporation/Service after 35 years of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Gallatin, P.O.
