Obituary of Joe Allen Brooks

Joe Allen Brooks, age 72 of Castalian Springs, passed away, Thursday, February 1, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. John Penfield officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, February 2nd from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 3rd from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Jerry Kemp, Danny Huddleston, Leroy Scruggs, Tony Whitefield, Clayton Brooks, and Mizell Hogan serving as pallbearers. 

Mr. Brooks was born March 27, 1945 in Sumner County to the late Henry Odell Brooks and Lucindy Thurman Brooks.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Noel Henry Brooks, and Hugh Thomas Brooks; and sister, Nannie Lou Huddleston.  He is survived by companion, of 40 years, Bobbie White of Gallatin; sons, Ricky Dale Brooks of Gallatin and Mark Allen Brooks of Bethpage; brothers, Roger Brooks of Oak Grove and Larry Brooks of Bethpage; sisters, Jewel Brooks Kemp of Gallatin and Jessie Woods of Portland; and 1 grandchild, Brianna Brooks.  Mr. Brooks retired from Quality Industries after 30 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
