Obituary of David Allen Norman

David Allen Norman, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Monday, February 5^th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Danny Raines officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 4^th from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, February 5^th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with David Barnes, Ricky Rigsby, Tony Chandler, Greg Cherry, Kenneth Keith, and Danny Withers serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Norman was born August 6, 1940 in Lafayette to the late, Leslie Allen “Tooter” Norman and Dovie Mason Simmons Norman.  He is survived by wife of 56 years, Polly Cherry Norman of Gallatin; son, Jeffery Norman (Barbi) of Gallatin; daughter, Carol Norman Rauscher of Gallatin; grandchildren, Alexandria Norman, James Norman, Leslie Sisco, Chelsea Jackson, and Seth Lemons (Ashley Biles); great grandchildren, Gabrielle Crass, Ameryn Jackson, Carter Jackson-Cummings, and Rhett Lemons; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mr. Norman served our country in the United States Air Force.  He retired from GAP as maintenance supervisor after 12 years of service.  Mr. Norman was a member of the Missionary Baptist Faith.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
