Obituary of Dolly Clemons

Dolly Clemons, age 94 of Bethpage, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue).  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 12th from 12:00 until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Doug Stinson, Jeff Fuqua, Britt Brady, Mark Visser, Andrew McDade, and Ricky Shoulders serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons and Members of Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clemons was born March 2, 1924 in Bethpage to the late Thomas Jefferson Thompson and Lucy Williams Thompson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James Lyle Clemons; infant son, James Thomas Clemons; brother, Homer Thompson; sister, Erma Fuqua; nephew, George Fuqua; niece, Dottie Stinson; great nephew, William Fuqua; and great niece, Lisa Fuqua.  She is survived by nephew, Don Fuqua (Liz) of Gallatin; nephew-in-law, Doug Stinson of Gallatin; niece-in-law, Ernestine Fuqua of Gallatin; 8 great nieces and nephews; 6 great-great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great-great nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church since 1991.  She was a member of Order of The Eastern Star Bethpage #5.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
