Karen Sue (Gump) Hall, age 78 of Castalian Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022 surrounded by her family. Funeral Service will be Monday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 25th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Monday, September 26th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Corum Hill Cemetery, with John Hall, Jeff Hall, Brian Perez, Jacob Hall, Dillon Hall, and Colin Perez serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corum Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 22, Castalian Springs, TN 37031.
Mrs. Hall was born July 27, 1944 in Brown, West Virginia to the late Jesse Gump and Helen Trader Gump. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Carl Nelson Hall; and siblings, Frances Gump, Mary Ellen Reed, Phyllis Jean Blake, Luther Gump, and Robert Gump. She is survived by sons, John Hall of Castalian Springs, Jeff Hall (Jennie) of Gallatin; daughter, Pam Perez (Brian) of Brentwood; brothers, James Gump (Barbara) of West Virginia and Roger Gump of West Virginia; grandchildren, Jacob Hall (Megan), Kalan Banks (Christopher), Dillon Hall, Elijah Hall, Olivia Hall, Colin Perez, and Ella Perez; and 3 great grandchildren. Karen moved to Tennessee from Wallace, West Virginia in 1964. She worked for many years as a home health aide, lovingly caring for the elderly. She was a talented cook and seamstress.
