Mrs. Mabel Lou Mooneyhan-Wheet, age 87 of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green. Mabel was born on March 16, 1935 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to the late Frank and Willie Stafford.
Mabel is survived by her children, Debbie Suddarth, Brenda Hillard, Lisa (Barry) Pierce, and Bobby Mooneyhan; brother, Willie (Debbie) Stafford; sisters, Cora Dillard and Kathy Clark; 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Roy Mooneyhan; sons, Roy Edward Mooneyhan, Ricky Dale Mooneyhan, and James Darren Mooneyhan; brothers, Richard Stafford and Elbert Stafford; sisters, Dora Stafford, Gladys Fitts, and Margaret Cline.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 30th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Pastor Matt Morse officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jake Link Cemetery with Brian Snook, Roy Mooneyhan, Jr., Joshua Mooneyhan, James Hillard, Van “Tiger” Stafford, and Randy Dillard serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 29th from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM and Wednesday, November 30th from 10:00 AM until time of service.
