Obituary of John Paul Black, Sr

John Paul Black, Sr., age 86 of Bethpage passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Celebration of Life Service, with Military Honors, will be Saturday, June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Gallatin First United Methodist Church. Mr. Black was born February 26, 1935 in Ferndale, Michigan to the late Garlan Neil Black, Sr and Iva Mae Landeau Black. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, William L. Black, Sr, Henry R. Black, and Garlan Neil Black, Jr; and sisters, Maxine Black and Molly Foster. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Celia Martinez Black of Bethpage; son, John Paul Black, Jr of Bethpage; daughters, Janice Draper (Todd) of Gallatin and Laura Black (Eric Hall) of Hendersonville; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Draper, Steven Black, Caitlin Draper, Darcy Wiss (Adam), and Casey Black; soon-to-be great grandchild, Abram Wiss; and several nieces and nephews.
