Obituary of Norma Jean "Toots" Brown

Norma Jean “Toots” Brown, age 79 of Castalian Springs, passed away Wednesday May 12, 2021. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 14th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. John Jared officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 14th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery, with Robert May, Ricky Brown, Chris Sullivan, Nick Jared, Caleb Jared, and Samuel Jared serving as pallbearers. “Toots” was born June 10, 1941 in Macon County to the late Winfred Jones and Ruby Frye Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Jones, Jake Jones, J. W. Jones, and Charlie Jones; and sisters, Hollis Seagraves, Betsy Jones, Beverly Waldron, May Cothron, Geraldine Jones, and Barbara Sue Jared. She is survived by husband of 35 years, Clarence Brown of Castalian Springs; sons, Jeff Jared of Westmoreland and John Jared (Marcia McDonald) of Springfield; sister, Lona Swindell of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Nick Jared, Mary Jared May (Robert), Samuel Jared, Caleb Jared (Cadin), and Madison Jared Sedlik (Jacob); and 2 great grandchildren, Isaac May and Ellie Sedlik. “Toots” loved her grandchildren, yard sales, and cooking.
