Obituary of Gerald Wayne Cherry

Mr. Gerald Wayne Cherry, age 98, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Cherry are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 2 PM, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Chris Robison officiating. Interment will follow in The Pirtle Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 10 AM until 9 PM, and on Sunday from 9 AM until service time at 2 PM. Mr. Wayne Cherry was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Ozelle Cox Cherry; parents, Henry Roscoe Cherry and Pattie Dillard Cherry; brothers, Donnie Cherry, H. R. Cherry, Cleo Cherry; sisters, Irene Shinkman, Gloria Yielding, and Dorothy Buidosik. He is survived by; Daughter, Clara Willis and husband, Edward Son, Edward Cherry Grandchildren, Richard Willis and wife, Ashley Laura Jones and husband Jordon Great Grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter Willis Emma Jones
