In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Mont of Gallatin, 810 S. Water Ave., Gallatin, TN 37066. Mr. Stewart was born April 15th, 1978 in Davidson County. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Charles Blakemore & Rebecca Caldwell Stewart; and sister, Hannah Grace Brown. He is survived by mother, Kimberly Michelle Templeton Brown (Gary) of Gallatin; father, Bobby Stewart (Gayla) of Blythewood, South Carolina; grandparents, Frank Templeton (Joyce) of Gallatin; brother, Daniel Brown of Clarksville, TN; 2 step-sisters Kellye Cantrell (Dustin) of Blythewood, SC and Mallory Greene (Cody) of Adams, TN; aunts, Lisa Templeton of Gallatin, Sherry Wilson (Danny) of Castalian Springs, and Jane Wright (David) of Gallatin; uncle, Tommy Stewart (Linda) of Gallatin; and nieces, nephews & cousins. At an early age, Blake developed an interest in history, and with one visit to the Nashville Civil War Show, that interest became a passion. Before he would finish Middle School, Blake would begin Civil War reenacting, and he never stopped. Blake gave freely of his time and knowledge by volunteering at scores of local, state, and national historic sites over 3 decades and was a former member of the 24th TN Infantry Co. B & the 9th Kentucky Co. B. He appeared in numerous historical films, documentaries, and works of art, and most recently used his talents researching historical education programs at Historic Rose Mont, in Gallatin, Tennessee. A talented fiddle player and an avid collector of rare historical books, Blake accumulated an impressive personal library, that rivaled most universities. Blake cherished his family, and visited with his grandparents almost daily. He was a loyal friend, kind, and non-judgmental, generous often beyond his means. He was a loving son and grandson, who will be sorely missed, but never forgotten by all who knew him. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
