Obituary of Laura Ellen Hunter

Laura Ellen Hunter, age 94 of Lafayette, IN, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. Cryptside Service will be Thursday, July 8th at 11:30 a.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Thursday, July 8th from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. The family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent. Mrs. Hunter was born May 7, 1927 in Boom, TN to the late Carlos Ownsby Garrett and Bertha Elva Pryor Garrett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Clyde Gleaves Hunter; brothers, Ruben Garrett, Robert Garrett, and Eugene Garrett; and sister, Glenda Sue Gregory. She is survived by daughter, Pamela Barcus (David) of Lafayette, IN; sister, Sandra Cooper (Gilbert) of Gallatin, TN; sister-in-law, Vera Garrett of Hermitage, TN; 1 grandchild, Jodi Cahill (Scott); and 3 great grandchildren, Daniel Cahill, Chelsea Huffman (Ben), and Tyler Cahill.
