Obituary of Marilyn Hammons

Marilyn Hammons, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Gallatin First United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Johnson, Rev. Dr. Ted Hill, and Bob Snell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 16th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home and Saturday, July 17th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be private. Honoring her as pallbearers are Cole Massey, Mark Brown, Marcus Baldini, Matthew Kenney, Ben Forbes, and Joe Beebe. Mrs. Hammons was born September 14, 1934 in Winchester, IN to the late Norris P. Brown and Mary Agnes Schultz Brown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 67 years, Billy E. Hammons; brothers, Phillip Brown, Keith Brown, and Gene Brown; and sister, Marlene Brown. She is survived by daughters, Susan Clark of Gallatin and Jean Ingram (David) of Gallatin; sister-in-law, Charlene Brown of Cookeville; 2 grandchildren, Shanon Baldini (Marcus) and Cole Massey (Amber); 1 great granddaughter, Sophia Rose Baldini; special cousin, Doris Hartman; and nieces and nephews, Vickie Barnes, Valerie Patton, Vanessa Murphy, Andy Brown, Kathy Adams, Don Hammons, Brenda Hammons, Christian Brown, Joe Brown, Michael Ann Brown, and Mark Brown.
