Obituary of R.B. Blankenship

Mr. R.B. Blankenship, age 85, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Knollwood Manor. Funeral Services for R.B. Blankenship are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 11 AM from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jason Halloway and Brother Kole Cliburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 11 AM until 9 PM and on Tuesday, from 8 AM until service time at 11 AM. The Family request donations be made towards the Scott Cemetery. Mr. R.B. Blankenship was preceded in death by; Wife, Hazel Dean Keith Blankenship; Parents, Edgar Benton Blankenship and Dorothy Dee Roark Blankenship; Daughter, Connie Annette Blankenship; Brothers, Bobby Blankenship and Benton Blankenship, and Sister, Charlene Holland. He is survived by; Son, Mark Blankenship and wife, Judy Grandchildren, Mendy Cliburn and husband, Todd Joel Harris and wife, Nicole Tyler Blankenship and wife, Baili Great-Grandchildren, Kole Cliburn and wife, Madison Chloe Cliburn Mali Blankenship Christopher Harris Makayla Harris Great-Great Grandchildren, Ridge Cliburn River Cliburn Atlas Cain Wilson Sisters, Janice Turner and husband, Steve Joyce Terry and husband, Danny Rose McDonald A host of nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
