Obituary of Dora Elizabeth Hire

Mrs. Dora Elizabeth Shrum Hire, age 85 of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her residence. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dora Hire are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 1 PM from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Freeman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 12 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, from 8 AM until service time at 1 PM. She was preceded in death by Parents, Jesse Shrum and China Brooks Shrum; Sister, Jessie Mae White; Son-in-law, Billy Dillard; and Step-Grandson, Bailey Law. Mrs. Dora Hire is survived by; Husband, Sammy Hire Children, Ricky Hire and wife, Denise Vicki Dillard Brother, Willard Shrum and wife, Wilma Grandchildren, Marty Dillard and wife, Michelle Heather Pierce and husband, Kevin Matthew Hire and wife, Ana Whitney Cheesman and husband, Bryan Ten Great-Grandchildren also survive.
