Obituary of William "J.R." Silcox

William “J.R.” Silcox, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 6th at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 6th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Heritage Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Mr. Silcox was born June 16, 1943 in Carthage to the late William Lewis Silcox, Sr and Mary Helen Givins Silcox. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Janet Holt Silcox; daughter, Tammy Henderson; and brother, Steve Allen Silcox. He is survived by sons, Tony Silcox (Jennifer) of Lebanon, Timothy Silcox (Kayla) of Dixon Springs, and Todd Silcox of Red Boiling Springs; step sons, Keith Overstreet of Nashville and Mark Overstreet of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Tonya Kenyon (John Chambers) of Hermitage; brothers, Charles Silcox (Debbie) of Gallatin, Kenneth Silcox of Gallatin, Gary Silcox (Teri) of Savannah, GA, and Johnny Silcox (Pat) of Gallatin; 16 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
