Obituary of Pastor Fred A. Davis

Pastor Fred A. Davis, age 75 of Hartsville, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021. A combined Celebration of Life Service for Pastor Davis and Mrs. Ann Davis will be Saturday, September 4th at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, September 4th from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until time of service at 3:00 p.m. (CST). Graveside Service will be Sunday, September 5th at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Davis was born July 1, 1946, in St. Louis, MO to the late Fred A. Davis. and survived by mother, Leona Cook Davis. In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife, Emily “Ann” Googe Davis of Hartsville (unfortunately, Ann passed away two days after Pastor Davis’ death); son, Anthony “Tony” Davis (Maryann) of Castalian Springs; daughter, Mary Lucinda “Cindy” Valentine of Nashville; sister, Joan Geary (Doug) of Old Hickory; and 5 grandchildren, Justin Valentine, Bethany Valentine, Trey Davis, Austin Valentine, and Brooke Davis. Pastor Davis felt called into ministry at a young age and went on to plant and pastor many churches in both East and Middle Tennessee. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Andersonville Baptist Seminary. Pastor Davis served as Church Plant Strategist with the Tennessee Baptist Convention for 14 years. After retiring in 2014, he became lead pastor of Impact Fellowship Church in Gallatin, TN. Pastor Davis then established Mending Fences Cowboy Church in Lebanon, TN and faithfully served as their pastor for the past 5 years. Pastor Davis had a passion for reaching those who did not know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and has touched many with his teaching of the gospel.
