Obituary of Jane Wooten

Jane Wooten, age 76 of Gallatin, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1st from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be Thursday, September 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Granville Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Wooten was born on January 9, 1945 in Granville, TN to the late Hugh Lee Pharris and Ellen Marie Carter Pharris. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Gilley. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bill Wooten, Jr. of Gallatin; daughters, Susan Souza (David) of Collierville, TN and Catharine Brooke Fletcher (Jim) of Atlanta, GA; and 9 grandchildren, Matthew Ford, Riley Ford, Katherine Souza, Isabel Souza, Peter Souza, Mary Charlotte Souza, Sarah Thackston, Jordin Fletcher, and Sloane Fletcher. Mrs. Wooten retired as a beloved and dedicated teacher with the Sumner County School System after 30 years of service.
