Obituary of Jean Russell

Mrs. Lois Jean Russell, age 90 of the Providence Community passed away Tuesday evening, August 31, 2021 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN. Mrs. Russell graduated from Gallatin High School and Austin Peay State University. She was an elementary school teacher for 37 years in the Trousdale County School System and an active member of the Hartsville First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Husband, James Russell; 2 Brothers, R.H. and Bob Worsham and 3 Sisters, Kathryn Nunley, Mary Jo Cummings and Ruth Worsham. Survived by: Daughter, Patsy (Jack) Watkins-Fairview, TN; 6 Grandchildren, Abigail (Greg) Morgan-Bethel, Alaska, Jay (Karen) Watkins-Brooklyn, NY, Patrick Watkins-Nashville, TN, Clay (Andrea) Watkins-Fairview, TN, Meredith Watkins-Chattanooga, TN and Alex Watkins-Nashville, TN and 8 Great Grandchildren, Rex, Colin & Beatrice Morgan, Eleanor & Wesley Watkins and Aiden, McKayla & Ryan Watkins. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Hartsville Memorial Gardens conducted by Bro. Darryl Turner. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family requests everyone attending services to please wear a mask. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Hartsville Senior Center.
