Obituary of Charles Douglas Bray

Mr. Charles Douglas Bray, age 77, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at his Residence. Funeral services for Charles Bray are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 1 PM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder J.C. Cox officiating. Interment will follow in The Fairview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 4 PM until 9 PM, and on Monday, from 8 AM until service time at 1 PM. Family respectfully requests donations be made towards the funeral expense. The family also requests anyone attending the visitation or the funeral service to please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Charles Douglas Bray was preceded in death by his, Wife, Mildred Irene Sullivan Bray Parents, Lewis Ellis Bray and Thelma Goodall Bray; and Brother, Lewis Jackson “Jack” Bray; and Sister, Willow Fay Owen. He is survived by; Children, James Bray and wife, Tammy Dwight Bray and wife, Jenny Teresa Carter and husband, David Kenneth Meador Michael Meador and wife, Tess Companion, Cheryl Jones Brothers, W.L. King Larry Bray Sister, Barbara West Sixteen Grandchildren and twenty-one Great-Grandchildren and one on the way, and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
