Obituary of Billy Gene Templeton, Sr.

Billy Gene Templeton Sr, age 75 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace Officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 16th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Templeton was born March 30, 1946 in Gallatin to the late Harrison Grady Templeton and Jimmie Boze Templeton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Janie Farley, Carolotta Carter, Virginia Carter, and Kelley Carter; and brothers, Terry Carter and Grady Templeton. He is survived by son, Billy Gene Templeton Jr (Layla Knab) of Gallatin; step-son, Steven Morris (Wendy) of White House; sisters, Starr Coker of Gallatin, Kathy Fisher (Stewart) of Columbia, Paulette Brown (Ronald) of Lafayette, and Ellen Templeton of Gallatin; brother, Paul Glenn Carter of Gallatin; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Templeton (Hailey Warren), Cole Templeton, Brandon Hudson, and Kayla Lawhorn (Chad); 2 great grandchildren, Billy Greyson Templeton and Kensley Mae Templeton; mother-of-his-child and best friend, Pamela Templeton Birdwell of Gallatin; nephew, Steven Burnett of Gallatin; and daughter-in-law, Amy Templeton of Gallatin.
